Unlike many computer repair companies, even large chain stores, we carry out all work in-house including motherboard repair, dc socket and so on (many companies either send their work to us or to another third party - ask before you leave your computer with them). This gives us the distinct advantage of being able to control costs, quality and offer fast repairs that few companies can match.

System Rebuild

The system rebuild, often referred to as a “reinstallation” is a comprehensive service that will get your computer performing as though it was new. We completely wipe your current operating system and install a fresh copy, transferring all critical documents, emails, music and photos (if authorised). We then ensure you are protected so we include a free copy of Microsoft Internet Security, licensed for at least 1 year. Your system will perform like new, optimised to meet your needs.

Virus Removal

If you have, or suspect that you have a virus, spyware or other malicious attack on your computer then our comprehensive removal not only guarantees to resolve the problem but optimise your computers’ security to help prevent future attacks. We include a full 1 year licence of Microsoft Internet Security absolutely free.

Think of our system service as a comprehensive M.O.T. for your computer. We leave all of your critical documents and programs untouched and focus on removing any viruses, malware, etc. We then update your system, optimise your drive and install the best internet security on the market to prevent future problems. At Xpress Repair we believe in providing solutions so all of our work is on a fixed price basis.

Data Recovery

Traditionally, recovering data is an expensive process. At Xpress Repair we like to do things differently. We believe you won't find a more competitive or faster solution around. If your computer has failed or you have a new computer and want to transfer the data from your old machine to a new machine then our data recovery service is just for you.

Our recovery success rate is over 97% and for the remaining 3% we have a special lab service. We don't charge an inspection service so we can tell you if it is possible and which files we are able to recover so you can make an informed decision without obligation.

Data Cloning

We don't charge an inspection service so we can tell you if it is possible and which files we are able to recover. It might be the case that you have simply run out of room on your existing computer. We also have a solution for this - a process known as 'cloning'.

Essentially we fit a new, larger hard drive and 'clone' the data across to it. You lose none of your files and everything stays the same - apart from the increased capacity. The process is at the same cost of £39 plus the cost of the new drive (which will depend on what type/size you require).

We need to test your hard drive first to ensure that there are no damaged ‘sectors’ (parts on the drive) to ensure 100% success rate. We do not charge for this part of the process as we only believe in delivering solutions.

DC Socket

The DC socket is the connection from your power supply (also known as a charger) to your laptop. It is very common for this connection to break. Typical symptoms are:

• Loose connection from your charger to your laptop
• Charging lights fluctuate – sometimes they are on, at other times they are off
• Burning smell or melted chassis

If you have noticed symptoms like this then it is likely the DC socket has broken. Don’t worry as we replace the part for a new one, test and warrant our work for 12 months for a fixed price – regardless of make or model.

Board Fix

Board, also known as motherboard, problems can only be identified and fixed by specialists. At Xpress Repair we have those specialists that work in-house. We are able to offer a complete repair on any motherboard at an amazingly low – and fixed – price of £139. Due to the complexities of board repairs it takes a little longer to repair so please be prepared for a 1-3 day turnaround.

LCD / LED Screen Replacement

If your screen appears dim or is flickering or simply does not switch on it might be that you have a faulty screen. We can identify the fault, as it may be an unrelated problem such as a ‘backlight’ or ‘graphics card’.

If we deem the screen to be at fault, we can replace the screen for an OE (original equipment) screen, usually the same day. Our complete solution includes:

Has your keyboard stopped working? Perhaps you have spilt some liquid on it and a few keys no longer work? If so we can replace the keyboard for an OE (original equipment) keyboard. Our complete solution includes:
